for today…

Outside my window… the sun is peeking through the clouds, and two blue tits are flying in and out of the nest box, and the fuchsia is still in flower

I am thinking… about the blog posts I’ve meant to write this week and haven’t got round to

I am thankful… that I feel well again now (although I need to remember that I’m still off sick, and still need to rest!)

In the kitchen… the remains of yesterday’s cheese and rosemary scones, snuggled away in a tin, waiting for lunchtime

I am wearing… mismatched pyjamas and dressing gown

I am creating… a skirt out of an old pair of trousers (but not today – resting today – must remember)

I am going… to meet a friend for lunch in town today. Expanding my horizons again, a little at a time

I am wondering… whether it really is time to get dressed yet, or whether another half hour would help

I am reading… about other people’s lives. I love reading about other people’s lives.

I am hoping… that the workmen over the road don’t make too much noise – I was planning a restful day today

I am looking forward to… our new breadmaker arriving on Thursday

I am learning… patience (still)

Around the house… quietness. A pile of library books. Unfinished sewing projects. Parcels to post. A sneaky to do list.

I am pondering… making pasta sauce

One of my favorite things… sitting and watching the birds in the garden

A few plans for the rest of the week: rest, and more rest. Meeting a friend for lunch. An experimental train journey.

Getting a new breadmaker is so exciting. I’m on my second one, and can’t imagine not having one! Enjoy, and I hope you get plenty of rest!

  3. Thanks 🙂

Jerri, this is our third breadmaker actually! I’m hoping it lasts up to regular use better than the other two did… Should be here tomorrow, I’m very excited!
