As we sat in the Country Market cafe on Saturday morning with the sun streaming through the windows, I almost felt like there might be an end to winter after all. I mean, I know we’ve had a few sunny days, and obviously I know that winter doesn’t last forever, but this is the first weekend it’s actually felt like it might be spring again soon.
I popped outside to empty the compost this morning and it was so sunshiney and glorious that I didn’t want to come back in.
Of course, it’s still rather nippy, and there’s a lot of frost around.
But the sun is warming the stone, and it feels like it might even warm me too soon. An exciting prospect indeed.
Shame I had to come inside to do some work really…

It’s such a beautiful day out there today – I wouldn’t have wanted to come back in, either! Fingers crossed that spring is indeed now just around the corner.
