I’ve made bees before (and it seems I called that post ‘tiny little bees’ as well…).
They’re quick and easy to make, and just so very cheerful that I can’t help myself.
These are being sent to a friend’s daughter. I’m trying to focus on the fact that they are cheerful, rather than that they are over a month late for her birthday. Especially as I’m sending her brother’s present (knitted bunting in the same parcel, and his birthday was in April.
I think I might have just started my new year’s resolutions list…
those bees would make a great mobile!
These gifts will surely be worth the wait.
Painterwife I was thinking exactly the same about the mobile! They’re just fab aren’t they! makes me wish I could knit…
Thanks all!
Strangely enough, last time I made them was for a baby, and I sewed them together with a length of invisible string, one above the other in a long line. They twirled and danced in a row, and were utterly charming.
This time the recipient is a little older and I thought it would be more fun for her to be able to play with them. But yes, a mobile is a brilliant idea!
Robyn, get yourself on youtube, you’ll be knitting in no time!
I make mice that look just like these for my kitties!
